| The Truth About VIP Darshan Mismanagement at Baba Baidyanath Dham |
Deoghar, Jharkhand (DM Network):- Yesterday at Deoghar, during my visit for Baba Baidyanath's darshan, I witnessed how VIP darshan culture is disturbing the dignity of general devotees. Pandit workers repeatedly pushed me to take the ₹300 VIP route, but I refused and joined the general line, which normally takes 2–3 hours.
Shockingly, the so-called VIP line was only for a short stretch; after that, VIP devotees were forced to merge directly into the general queue. When a few VIP-ticket holders tried to jump ahead of me, I stopped them firmly and asked:
When you paid for VIP, why are you disrupting the general line? Stay in your own lane instead of creating chaos here.
They tried to argue, blaming the administration, but I made them stand back. I didn't allow 3–4 people, including women, to cut into the queue; mismanagement like this only encourages unfair VIP culture and ruins the sanctity of darshan for ordinary devotees.
